Introduction
The GIREP 2008 Conference was held at the University of Cyprus, in Nicosia between 18 and 22 August 2008 in conjunction with a Meeting of the Multimedia in Physics Teaching and Learning Group. The topic of the conference was Physics Curriculum Design, Development and Validation. During this conference, we hosted around 350 participants who delivered 150 presentations, 20 workshops and 30 symposia.
A total of 125 papers were submitted and have been reviewed by at least two referees. Out of these, 12 papers were rejected, 13 were withdrawn, 100 were accepted for publication in the conference CD and on the website and 22 were also accepted for publication in the conference book.
